Founded by Russell Whitlock in 1982, the firm is now a partnership specialising in the sale and letting of residential property throughout West Cornwall.
Having extensive first hand experience of corporate estate agency in both the Home Counties and Cornwall, the partners have a strong belief in the small independent estate agency’s unique ability to offer the exceptional service that property owners deserve, from experienced and professional staff – essential in today’s market. Much of our business is based on return custom and recommendation but we love meeting new customers and look forward to you putting us to the test.
Meet the Team
After several years in the Regular Army, serving in The Light Infantry, Cornwall’s County regiment, Nigel became an estate agent in 1979, specialising in country house sales in the south-east of England. He moved back down to Cornwall in 1996 and covered the whole of the county from his Truro office, before coming to Whitlocks in 2007.
A local boy, Roland was schooled and grew up in Penzance. He has worked in agency since 1987 in various roles including country homes, new development and as area manager of a group of national offices. He returned to Penzance in 2011 to take up a partnership at Whitlocks with Fleur and his friend and former colleague, Nigel.
Heading up Whitlock’s busy Lettings Department, Fleur has a B.Sc (Hons) from UWE Bristol and has been with the firm since 2007. She lives near Sennen and has extensive experience of dealing with the specialist needs of both the landlord and tenant.
Will, who grew up in Newlyn, joined Whitlocks in September 2015 under the Government apprentice scheme and on completion of his training was offered a full time position. Will is from a well established family and has good business connections. He has established himself as an important member of the Whitlocks team.
